Understanding the roles and responsibilities of a nonprofit board vs. executive director can be a balancing act! Running a successful nonprofit takes an active board of directors and a dedicated staff led by a capable executive director. However, your nonprofit’s effectiveness can be hampered when the board and executive director don’t understand their role. Clearly defined roles and responsibilities help an organization strike a balance for achieving success. Learn how to create and effectively balance between the Board of Directors and the Executive Director. Julie will share her experience with nonprofit boards across the various nonprofit sectors (social service, healthcare, volunteer, etc.). She will provide clearly defined roles and responsibilities for each party and tips for handling difficult situations between the Executive Director and Board Members. Attendees will walk away with practical tools that they will be able to implement when they return to the office.

Who Should Attend?
